Clayton photographing at the 2006 Cheyenne Frontier Days

March 19, 2008 - Clayton's photograph "Valverde Fireplace" has been accepted into the 2008 National Exhibition in New Zealand. The juried show is put on by the Photographic Society of New Zealand and will be in Dunedin, New Zealand from April 9th-13th, 2008. Selected images from the exhibition will make a tour around New Zealand after the show.

September 14, 2007 - Clayton is one of three artists selected to join the NCAR Art Advisory Committee. The committee advises and assists the NCAR Community Art Program in its coordination of the changing exhibits at the I.M. Pei designed NCAR building in Boulder, Colorado. Clayton's term runs from September 2007 through August 2009.

March 4, 2007 - Charlie Meyers interviews Clayton about his wildlife photography for the Denver Post.

August 27, 2006 - Clayton will have four photographs in the Mountainside Art Guild's 28th Annual "Views of the West" Art Exhibition. The juried exhibition runs from August 29th to September 30th, 2006 at the South Union Gallery in Lakewood, Colorado.

April 20, 2006 - Clayton's article, Snowy Range, is published by the Boulder Daily Camera Newspaper.

April 2, 2006 - Clayton's article, Along the Rio Grande, is published by the Boulder Daily Camera Newspaper.

March 26, 2006 - Clayton's Article, The Rise of Fall, is printed in the Ft. Collins Coloradoan newspaper.

March 3rd, 2006 - Herman Zwinger, a pilot, photographer and long time family friend, donates his Rollei 66 medium format camera to Clayton. Herman has gone digital and no longer uses this film camera. It is an extraordinary gift! Rollei cameras are among the finest cameras ever made. Herman included 3 Carl Zeiss lenses, a flash, a light meter, filters and many other accessories in this gift. A couple years ago Herman also donated his 300 mm Nikkor lens to Clayton. Many of Clayton's finest wildlife photographs were taken with this lenses. Thank you very much Herman!

March 1, 2006 - Clayton's work is on display at the Corporate Headquarters of Wright Kingdom Real Estate in Boulder. Their office is located at 4875 Pearl E. Circle, Suite 100, Boulder, CO 80301

February 25th, 2006 - Clayton is accepted into an Artist-in-residency program in Csopak, Hungary. The residency is sponsored by the American Embassy in Budapest and and the Hungarian Culture Ministry. Twelve artists where selected for the residency. The artists are from Ireland, India, Canada, The United States and Ghana. Clayton will be expected to give one lecture, donate one work and participa te in two exhibitions in Hungary during the residency.

February 14th - February 26th, 2006 - Clayton accompanies professional photographer Eddie Shvartzman to New York and Toulouse, France. Clayton assisted Eddie on four different shoots for a Fortune 500 client during this two week trip.

February 5th, 2006 - Clayton's article, Canyon de Chelly in Winter, is published in the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper.
